Water Damaged basement in Valley Park, MO

If you look closely you can see that the carpet is saturated with water. When the sump pump failed in this basement, water made its way in affecting most of this finished basement.

In order to dry the carpet properly our crews pulled the carpet back to access the pad underneath. Pad acts like a sponge and holds water. If the pad is exposed to an excess amount of water it may be necessary to remove the pad to protect the subfloor and speed the drying process. The carpet was checked for restorability, and was a good candidate to be fried out, and then put back down.
