Space Heater causes Garage Fire in Florissant, MO

During extremely cold weather this family was using a space heater to help keep their garage warm. The heater was left plugged in, and it malfunctioned causing the fire to start. The fire originated in the garage, but quickly spread into the kitchen and living room. Smoke and soot filled the home, luckily everyone is safe, and no injuries occurred. Most residential house fires start in the garage. Always unplug electronic devices that are not being used.
