Smoke and Soot damage to a Fire Place in Fenton, MO

The fire place shown above took on heavy smoke and soot damage after being in a fire. You can see how the soot has collected on the porous brick face of the fire place. We were able to precondition and test clean an area of the brick to make sure we were using the right methods of cleaning. Removing as much soot as we can before moving to the next step is key. We were able to remove quite a bit of soot from the brick before using a Dry Ice Blasting media. Instead of replacing the entire fire place our SERVPRO Technicians were able to properly clean and deodorize the porous brick.
